"The Ultimate Life" Opens September 6th
Locally filmed “The Ultimate Life” hits theaters September 6th
Greensboro, NC: The Piedmont Triad Film Commission is proud to announce that the locally filmed feature The Ultimate Life is scheduled to premiere September 6th. The film commission helped to recruit the production to film in several Piedmont counties, including Forsyth and Rockingham counties, earlier this year. The production hired many locals to work behind the scenes and as extras and provided an immediate economic boost while filming in the area. Besides providing job opportunities for locals, money was also spent on many local businesses including hotels, office equipment rental businesses, hardware stores, rental car companies, restaurants, bars, dry cleaners and more.
The film features veteran actors Peter Fonda, Bill Cobbs, and Lee Meriweather and stars the young talent of Logan Bartholomew. The director of The Ultimate Life is Michael Landon Jr. This was the third film that he has directed in the Piedmont Triad in the last 3 years.
The story follows Jason Stevens and his struggle to cope with his seemingly unraveling life. But when he discovers his late grandfather’s journal, he is transported back into Red Stevens' incredible rags-to-riches life. With everything he loves hanging in the balance, Jason hopes he too can discover THE ULTIMATE LIFE.
The Ultimate Life serves as both a sequel and a prequel to the film The Ultimate Gift, which filmed in North Carolina in 2006.
