Home to 1.7 million people and a thriving international airport, the Piedmont Triad has a wide range of diverse landscapes… urban and rural, historic and contemporary. From the major Triad cities of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point to dozens of picturesque small towns, elegant mansions and quaint country stores, you’ll find an exquisite selection of locations for your next production. Combine that with a year-round temperate climate, experienced crew base, film-friendly communities, and attractive incentives, and you have all the necessary ingredients for a successful experience in our region.
The mission of the Piedmont Triad Film Commission is to create job opportunities, generate revenues, elevate regional visibility, and advocate economic development within the Piedmont Triad counties. To accomplish these goals, we promote and market the twelve-county region in order to recruit and facilitate the production of feature films, television programs and commercials in the region.
As a certified member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI), our film office serves as an official resource for filmmakers, providing an extensive locations photo library, location scouting services, along with pre-production and production assistance. In addition, we help visiting film companies find affordable office space and crew lodging, plus act as a liaison with local governments to help facilitate cooperation with road closures and other special requests.
